Biomedical Engineers are very much sought after in the world market, In Nepal, Hospitals and medical device companies are in a great need of such Engineers. There are many specialties for post-graduation in this field. After graduation, one can specialize in Medical Electronics, Medical Physics, and tissue Engineering, Bio-materials, Biomechanics and many others.
After Biomedical Engineering, a bright career awaits the students at hospitals, nursing homes, medical colleges, medical device industries as part of their Biomedical Staff. With ultramodern hospitals mushrooming all over the country, there will be a very large demand in this discipline. Apart from this, there are various modern industries dealing in medical equipment, which prefer Biomedical Engineers. Through this interdisciplinary course, we share the knowledge to advance the opportunities and the significance of Biomedical Engineering in efforts that ultimately improve health and quality of life.
The Biomedical Engineering course is new to Nepal and till 2005, this course was not taught anywhere else in the country. Due to this, most of the hospitals in Nepal are lacking the Basic need of at least one biomedical engineer in the organization. So to fill up such gap, College of Biomedical Engineering and Applied Sciences, with tremendous efforts, has initiated to offer the course for qualitative products; which is on the way of its first successive year. |
